Accounting Bookkeeping

Join our growth oriented firm as an Accounts Receivable Bookkeeper! Atlas Real Estate is in the business of brokering, managing, leasing and consulting to real estate in the multi-family housing and commercial sector. We are looking for an enthusiastic, customer oriented person to be a part of our dynamic team.
The right candidate shall be self-starting but must also be able to take directions and be a goal oriented person. We highly prefer residential real estate accounting experience and commercial accounting experience with CAM experience a big plus. Many residents are not bi-lingual so being able to speak and understand Spanish is desired.
Your base of operations shall be at our Beverly Hills office (though this could change in the future if another location is purchased / leased) and your field of operations is Los Angeles County with the possibility of expanding into the surrounding Counties (such as Orange or Ventura). However, you will work in Great Los Angeles.
Qualified candidates should have experience in the home, apartment, retail, and/or hospitality industries. You must have Windows program knowledge (Word, Excel, etc.) and Quickbooks Pro along with the ability to learn our property management software program. An accounting background with at least two years of bookkeeping/accounting experience or having majored in accounting or finance in college is required. Successful candidates will need a good attitude, be willing to accept responsibility, be computer proficient, enjoy learning, adapt well to change, be familiar with accounting methodologies, have experience dealing with people, and be willing to do repeated and routine work, as accounting/bookkeeping often mandates. Employees must be honest and use good judgment in handling confidential information. This is not a clock in and clock out job. You will be in charge of the tenant base accounts and mistakes are not well received from clients. You need to be willing to own your job.
All candidates will be or have:

References, credit & criminal history will be checked. Please no phone calls - Apply by e-mail only and include your resume and contact information along with salary requirements. Thank you for taking the time to apply and we look forward to receiving your submission. We look forward to hearing from you.
Compensation:
$13-$16 hourly based on experience ($15 mean). Do not apply if you "want to make $20/hour" or "$40,000+ annually to start."
This position is a cross over position. Not only will you handle accounts receivable (the primary duty), but you will also handle bill entry, some payables, reporting and more. We will stretch your capabilities and if you shine, you will be compensated for it based upon what you bring to the table and what the firm's financial budget mandates. We support growth, continuing education and merit.
