Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Physician Assistant will be working at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Department of Gastroenterology with 10 Gastroenterologists and 3 Physician Assistant in an outpatient setting. Physician Assistant independently obtains a relevant health and medical history.
Performs a physical examination based on age and history and dictates a progress note if needed with the appropriate physicians.
Performs and/or orders preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient's age and history.
Physician Assistant will help physicians provide screening, consultation, and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians.
Identifies health and medical risk factors.
Qualifications
Educational Requirements:
Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant studies
License/Certification requirements:
National Certification as a Physician Assistant
BLS and ACLS Certification required
Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required
Experience:
Minimum one (1) year Physician Assistant experience in gastroenterology is strongly preferred.
This position requires a strong, highly motivated individual who has a very strong focus on patient care, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
