We are hiring for a Staff Engineer, Data Engineering.
The work location for this position is Beverly Hills, California, and is eligible for a fully remote work arrangement.

The OpportunityThe Staff Engineer, Data Engineering supports our critical line of business operations by building and optimizing Cloud Data pipelines and helping to define, set, and maintain the Cloud Data Engineering practice using modern frameworks and technologies in accordance with industry and Rouse standards ofsoftware engineering.
Overview:
Design, develop, debug, and deploy scalable, efficient, and reusable codePerform ad hoc analysis and troubleshooting to resolve issues with deployed systemsMaintain documentation and source control; define standards of the Cloud Data Engineering practice in conjunction with Rouse Engineering leadership.
Write code as part of a collaborative team, building features that play a visible and critical role.
Manage, define, and break down tasks in an agile environmentMentor other team membersImplement and architect solutions in collaboration with engineering leadershipOwn the problem and scope solutions that line up with business objectivesProvide rapid response to the needs of the team.
Position Requirements:
Expertise in Python and SQL; at least five to seven years of experience in data engineeringStrong knowledge of and experience with Cloud Data practices and familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Apache AirflowSignificant experience with building and maintaining performant data pipelinesExperience with machine learning a plusFamiliarity with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud providersDemonstrated ability to troubleshoot, problem solve, test, and develop solutions independentlyOwnership mindset and capability of self-managing tasks, scope, and prioritiesThe base salary range for this role is $120,300 - $180,500 per year.
Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location (for remote roles) and other job-related reasons.
