00 PER HOURPOSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for the securing of funds for daily meal transactions; depositing funds and balancing accounts and adhering to accounting practice for monies handled.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:
Receives payments in the authorized form:
cash and/or credit, traveler checks, club member accounts and debit card.
Upon receiving cash, the cashier must count it twice and put it in the cash drawer.
In the case of credit or debit cards, place deposit slips in the cash drawer.
Responsible for keeping the menus clean and in good presentation.
Ability to take and check guests' coats/jackets and retrieve them upon guests' departure.
Responsible for answering the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner and making reservations.
Responsible for making necessary changes to the dining room occupancy chart.
Able to communicate with guests and clients to ensure reservations are properly recorded and all needs met.
Provide friendly, courteous and efficient service to all guests by making eye contact, smiling and maintaining proper posture.
Responsible for immediately reporting to his/her manager when an error is unwillingly made (the wrong, amount, product type, etc.
), which requires authorization to void an invoice issued by the system.
Accurately carries out date entry of the operation to keep from voiding any printed transactions, invoices and/or receipt of sale due to any data correction or inconsistencies.
Carries out the daily cashier report, making sure that the day's sales reports content checks out against the cash, credit card and deposit slip sales, preparing the necessary explanations if a difference is identified.
OTHER:
Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
Employees with irregular attendance will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.
Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the organization.
In addition, attendance at all scheduled training sessions and meetings is required.
Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Cipriani rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facilities.
Employees who violate rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:
Must be able to exert well-paced ability in limited space and to reach other locations of the property on a timely basis.
Auditory, visual and verbal interactions occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
Ability to walk, stand, and continuously perform essential functions for an extended period of time.
The ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education:
High school or equivalent education preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum one year experience necessaryLicenses or Certificates:
Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
Grooming:
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Cipriani standards.
Electronic Devices:
Personal cellular phones, pagers, I-pods, radio/cd players, headsets and/or other electronic devices are not permitted to be worn, carried or used while on duty.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
