Television Casting Executive, MGM

MGM Alternative is hiring a Casting Executive to oversee and manage the talent and casting of unscripted television projects with a focus on development.
Executive must have experience overseeing casting and talent management, including but not limited to:
identifying new and upcoming talent, developing relationships for potential placement on a variety of programs, hiring and managing 3rd party casting companies, and liaising between creative executives, producers, and existing talent.
This position will work across all MGM Alternative brands (MGM Unscripted, Big Fish Entertainment, Evolution Media.
Key job responsibilitieso Identify talent for MGM Alternative shows, including celebrity talent for host and docuseries opportunities, and uncovering subcultures of unknown talent.
o Identify & meet with various talent for potential development and/or future opportunities.
o Hire and manage talent bookers and external casting companies for various projects; creating budgets, liaising between creative executives and casting teams, noting casting reels, and book talent directly, when necessary.
o Deep awareness of and expertise in pop culture; identify breakthrough talent and stay current on trends, as well as foster relationships with emerging talent.
o Work with Business Affairs regarding talent contracts and provide insight in negotiations as needed.
o Help to create operational efficiencies both internally and externally.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
